Airlines Planning To Resume Some International Flights In June

airlines-resume-flights-in-june

Most airlines around the world have been grounded since March because coronavirus has ended non-essential travel. But as widespread travel restrictions begin to wear off, some are slowly resuming service this summer. Some of the cheap airlines have already resumed their flight operations. First, the aviation industry is starting to make small preparations for the summer.

Several major airlines have enacted resumption schedules, albeit with reduced capacity, along with assurances that they will greet passengers in safe, hygienic cabins. Of course, every plan and schedule still depend on the country's reconstruction timescales, so we will update this list regularly. In the meantime, you can go back to your abandoned itinerary, find out if your favourite airline is flying again, and hope for the best.

Turkish Airlines:

Turkish Airlines is also planning to steadily continue its flight operations from June 2021 and will require four months to re-visitation of close full activity, demonstrated the draft plan as observed by Reuters as the economy resumes in the wake of easing back down in Covid cases. As per the arrangement in April, the leader transporter, which travelled to 126 nations before the Covid episode, had to close down all global traveler flights, travelling to only 19 nations one month from now.

It plans to gradually increase the number of destinations to 99 different countries in September, in line with a plan that Reuters said may change as the situation evolves. Turkish Airlines, which carried over 74 million passengers last year, suspended passenger flights until 28th May 2021 after border closure to contain the spread of the new coronavirus. According to the draft plan, 60 percent of domestic flights are planned to resume in June.

One of the Turkish Airlines shares rose 0.38 percent. Ankara has made efforts to gradually recover the economy from late May after slowing down the spread of the virus over the past two weeks. Turkey has around 130,000 affirmed instances of the Covid, the biggest number external Western Europe, the United States, and Russia.

Weekly connections from Melbourne to London will resume on 21st May 2021, and Etihad plans to add new connections to:

  • Belgrade.
  • Dublin.
  • Geneva.
  • Milan.
  • Paris.
  • Toronto.

Etihad Airlines will also continue its repatriation flights until 15th June 2021.

Qatar Airlines:

Qatar Airways announced the re-launch of multiple routes in the US, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia, offering its network of up to 100 destinations by October. There are plans to resume flights or to increase the frequency of some destinations:

  • Bucharest will start on 16th October 2021.
  • Copenhagen will start on 12th October 2021.
  • Madrid will start on 12th October 2021.
  • Manchester will start on 12th October 2021.
  • Singapore will start on 25th October 2021.
  • Sofia will start on 16th October 2021.
  • Stockholm will start on 12th October 2021.

Emirates:

Emirates will add more routes to its services worldwide, offering a total of 94 destinations from October. The airline reminds users that there are strict entry restrictions upon arrival in Dubai, which include a mandatory DHA test upon arrival, mandatory 14-day quarantine, and another pre-release test.

In the meantime, Emirates is ensuring that all aircraft are properly sanitised and disinfected upon landing at any airport, and cabin crew will be wearing protective suits. British Airways is also planning its long-haul flight operations in June.
